Clive went along to Lidl in Eltham High Street to give them an award from the police for using the design of their new store to deter crime.
The store opened earlier this year. “I am delighted that Lidl has invested in our town centre in this way” said Clive.
Clive was at the Greenwich Heritage Centre to celebrate the 25th birthday of the Irish in Greenwich, the community organisation who provides help and support to the Irish community in Greenwich.
Along with the Irish Ambassador to Britain, John Austin and the Mayor of Greenwich, Clive paid tribute to the organisation. “Everyone involved in the Irish in Greenwich deserves our congratulations”, he said. “I am always amazed at the wide variety of services the organisation provides. From lunch clubs to advice and advocacy to keep fit classes for the elderly, the Irish In Greenwich provides them all. I look forward to another 25 years of success,” Clive added.
Clive opened the new outdoor gymansium in Horn park at the weekend after many months of hard work by the whole community.
