Clive attends launch of Business in Sport and Leisure’s report on the state of the UK Leisure industry
Clive today attended the launch of Business in Sport and Leisure’s (BiSL) report on the state of the UK Leisure industry at Riley’s Pool Snooker and Darts Club in Victoria.
Clive joined with some of his fellow MPs together with ramblers from across the country to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the mass trespass of Kinder Scout, one of the tallest peaks in the Peak District. The mass trespass led in time to the establishment of our National Parks by the 1945 government and then the historic introduction of a right to roam on uncltuivated land by the 1997 Labour Government.”I am proud both of our beautiful national parks and and the introduction of the right to roam and this is a wonderful opportunity to pay tribute to those pioneers whose bravery made this possible.”
Over 30 people responded to Clive’s invitation to come and have a cuppa with him. People came to discuss everything from local parking arrangements to international affairs. From hedges that needed cutting back to the costs of allotments.
Clive holds regular coffee mornings so look out for an invitation coming through your door.
