Eltham residents celebrated the switching on of the Eltham High Street Christmas lights on Eltham’s lighting up on 22 November.
The High Street was closed off to cars to enable everyone to enjoy the street entertainers, stage performers and the the beautiful lantern parade organised by local schools.
After the parade, a fantastic forewords display finished off a fun-packed evening.
“Eltham Lights Up continues to get bigger and better every year” said Clive Efford. “Congratulations must go to everyone who took part, from those who performed on the stage, those who entertained the crowds on the street to everyone who took part in the parade. Above all I would like to thank everyone who came along on such a cold night to make the event such a success.”
Clive is pictured right turning on the lights with Andy Reid and Lloyd Sam from Charlton Athletic and the mayor of Greenwich Cllr Sajid Jawaid.
